IT Specialists in this job role have expertise in analysis and description of business processes, and their translation into functional and non-functional IT requirements. Business analysts act as the interpreters between the worlds of IT and business. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and non-functional requirements, use-cases, process models, and impact analysis. IT Specialists in this role primarily apply their technical and business process skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment.
Under the supervision and direction for the team lead, this resource will be involved with the following: determine engineering feasibility of client requests; assist with generating detailed system requirements / interface specifications accounting to end-user and client requirements; gather business and technical requirements related to the development of systems.
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic knowledge in Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Basic knowledge in Requirements Gathering
- Basic knowledge in Application Development
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- At least 2 years experience in Requirements Gathering
- At least 2 years experience in Application Development
Additional information
Travel expected for this position: The IBM Michigan Delivery Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our East Lansing, MI center. Some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs. Travel is typically within the continental US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site and may fluctuate between a few weeks or a few months up front (Monday thru Friday) at the client site.
