GENERAL SUMMARY



The intern position will prepare college students for entry into the Managed Care industry by providing a thorough understanding of the Medical Economics department at Coventry Health Care, as well as the tools and techniques generally used to identify and report trends. General work shall include: compiling and analyzing medical expense trend reports, create monthly metric reports for use by the Medical Management and Network Development departments, create ad hoc reports as needed.

 
Qualifications:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

- Completion of 60 credit hours prior to starting the internship

- Minimum 3.2 GPA at the time of application

- Pursuing a 4 year undergraduate or graduate degree required

- Preferably pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Finance or Insurance

- Demonstrated computing skills with superior oral and written communication skills preferred
