Description

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc is currently recruiting for a Director, Contract Packaging Quality, located in Fort Washington, PA.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, Mylanta and ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.

The Director, Contract Packaging Quality directs the Contract Packaging Quality Assurance function to assure compliance with applicable Johnson & Johnson/McNeil policies and regulations for McNeil Consumer Healthcare (MCH) products packaged at facilities external to McNeil Consumer Healthcare - US. This individual is responsible for leading a group of Quality professionals to ensure adequate management of product quality for operations conducted by Contract Packagers. This individual is responsible for managing the Quality relationship with Contract Packagers and development of strategies to support Quality Risk Management, as appropriate.

Responsibilities also include the effective selection and ongoing Quality management of Contract Packagers. The incumbent develops strategies designed to assure compliance of quality systems of Contract Packaging Facilities and collaborate with group members to identify, investigate, report and correct GMP deficiencies in External Packagers. The Director will partner with EM Operations to ensure timely and compliant delivery of product, effective oversight/audit of EP's and timely/effective management and resolution of events related to quality of products packaged by EP's.

This individual will manage the performance and development of a team of Exempt Professionals and ensures delivery of critical division and department metrics regarding customer service, efficiencies, and key quality measures. As a representative of the QA Contract Operations leadership team, this individual serves on Steering Committees for major project initiatives related to job function at division and J&J level. The Director will act as liaison between McNeil Consumer Healthcare and the FDA and DEA for field activities and compliance issues related to job function and will perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. A focused degree in engineering, chemistry, or pharmacy is preferred. An advanced degree is preferred.A minimum of 10 years of Pharmaceutical Quality experience is required.A minimum of 6 years of experience in a leadership role in quality and/or compliance is required. Experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or OTC industry is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing people is required. Experience in working within a GMP environment is required. Experience working with the FDA is required. Experience working globally is preferred. Project Management experience is highly preferred. Experience developing supplier programs and Quality oversight for third party packaging is a plus. Strong influencing and negotiations experience is required. The ability to manage complexity and manage a diverse team is critical. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. Advanced ability to ascertain goals and conduct goal oriented tasks efficiently and independently is required. This position may require up to 25% travel domestically and internationally.
