Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with the varoius consultants and contractors to manage and direct overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.

Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Monitors the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment required by the project will be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

Manages and reviews assignments for Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.

Manages the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.

Provides leadership to confirm sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.

Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.

Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, and subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.

Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.

Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents required from the construction contractor.

Coordinates RFI responses, monitors change orders, and makes recommendations to client for construction progress payments.

Manages routine construction meetings and monitors subordinate workloads to maximize performance.
Qualifications
Experience and Qualifications:
-
4-year degree in engineering or related field. Registration as professional engineer

15 years construction & project management.
-
Proven ability to perform in management capacity, excellent written & oral communication.

Thorough knowledge of industry practices & regulations.
-
Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project.
-
Construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects is preferred.
