Mobility is a strategic focus area for Cisco and one of the fastest growth segments for our Service Provider customers. With acquisition of Starent Networks, Cisco is now world leader in 3G/4G packet core gateway business in providing high speed packet data services to wireless broadband customers.

This requirement is for Mobile and Internet Technology Group (MITG) in Cisco for LTE/UMTS gateway. We are looking for suitable candidates to undertake Engineering Development and sustenance work on a world-leading very high performance GPRS/UMTS/LTE packet core gateway products. The work involves developing new features, keeping up with evolving Standards, providing architectural guidance to team members, assist leading mobile telecom operators across the globe in new services, understanding complex network deployment scenarios, and solving customer issues. As a Technical leader, you will influence architecture and design of new features and services across functional teams. Prior experience in telecom/datacom domain with on packet switching/call processing/routing products is essential.

Good understanding of OS concepts, strong knowledge of data structures and good experience in 'C' programming and debugging is a must. Strong SW design, architecting, testing and debugging skills are essential.
Candidates with prior working experience of GTPv1, GTPv2, Mobile IP, AAA protocols, RADIUS, Diameter, PCC, charging, routing protocols etc shall have added advantage.

An Engineering degree and 10-15 years of Software Design and Development experience is required. Should have worked on a telecom/mobile technology related high capacity and high performance products with reasonable complexity for at least 2 years. Should have background in entire lifecycle of embedded systems product development.
