The Communications Specialist is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic, integrated, effective communications processes and plans that support MillerCoors, integrated supply chain and brewery business objectives while helping to build employee engagement.
 
The Communications Specialist works closely with the brewery vice president, brewery leadership team and the MillerCoors internal communications team to build awareness and drive employee action against plant, integrated supply chain and company priorities by leading the development of brewery leadership and employee meetings, as well as other brewery-wide communications.  
 
Additionally, the Communications Specialist provides strategic counsel to brewery leaders to help determine priorities and shape messages around brewery/workforce programs, opportunities and issues, collaborating with MillerCoors internal communications, human resources, labor relations and legal to ensure consistency of protocol, processes and messaging.
 


  • Develops and implements the brewery communications strategy
  • Partners with MillerCoors internal communications
  • Partners with corporate ISC to assist with the development and rollout of broad, ISC-related strategies and meetings.
  • Serve as plant liaison for local crisis situations, media relations and community opportunities and events, as authorized by MillerCoors communications and Corporate Responsibility and Ethics leadership.

Education / Experience


  • BA/BS in related field
  • 5+ years in communications, journalism, public relations or related field
 
Skills / Knowledge


  • Proven experience in internal communications and change management; experience with human resources or manufacturing a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to build strong partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with presentation and graphic design software (PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience with development of key internal communications vehicles including intranet content, videos and printed publications.
