Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Significant work experience directly related to field research and/or project management involving field research equipment
  • Knowledge of crop production, farming practices, and farm equipment operation and repair
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods as it relates to agricultural experiments
  • Ability to travel overnight and for extended periods domestically and internationally for various projects and equipment support
  • Documented individual leadership skills including excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Ability to analyze information and deliver comprehensive recommendations
  • Proficiency with utilizing word processing, database, and spreadsheet software to communicate and manage information/data
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and produce results
  • Applied experience and understanding of research and business principles
  • Ability to work under time constraints and to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify problems and deliver effective solutions

Desired Skills/Experience:
  • BS and at least 4 years of related work experience Ag Systems Technology/Management, Mechanized Agriculture, or related discipline
  • MS in Systems Management, Agronomy or related agriculture field also a plus
  • Proficiency with macros and/or other Visual Basic programming
  • Proficiency with engineering principles and CAD (Computer Aided Design) software
  • Experience with statistical analysis software is a plus
  • Multilingual is a plus
