Job Description:
In today's changing environment, government agencies are seeing an increase in physical and cyber threats, financial and performance reporting requirements, diversity in the workforce, and the impact of rapidly changing technologies. Our growing Public Sector Advisory practice provides management consulting, technology consulting and risk consulting services to help government agencies anticipate and address their most complex challenges. Our Public Sector practice works with Federal, State and Local Governments as well as International Agencies on a range of complex matters. Additionally, our Junior Military Office program provides an opportunity for service members who excelled in their military career to continue serving their country through Public Sector consulting.

Professionals in PwCs Public Sector practice are subject to a government security investigation and may need to meet related eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Our Program and Portfolio Management (PPM) Consultants assist clients with capital planning and investment control. This high performing team optimizes project and program performance, while consistently aligning projects with corporate strategy.

Position/Program Requirements:
Knowledge Preferred:



Demonstrates proven expertise and success in a role directing project teams within a Project Management Office for large programs in the federal government environment, emphasizing the following specialty areas: earned value management systems, governance, planning and controls, performance measurement and reporting, communications and stakeholder management.



An obtained graduate level degree is preferred.



Skills Preferred:



Demonstrates proven extensive abilities to utilize the following technology as it relates to managing projects within a Project Management Office for large programs in the federal government environment:



- Project server and/or Microsoft project

- Enterprise architecture

- IT asset management.



Demonstrates proven expert-level abilities with, and a track record of, identifying and addressing client needs specific to federal project management, and federal consulting or federal project management: identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection. Extensive knowledge with project server and/or Microsoft project, enterprise architecture and IT asset management.



Demonstrates proven expert-level abilities as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff.

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required.
