GENERAL SUMMARY
Information Security Analyst – Physical Security Provides security for more than one IT functional area company-wide. Assists with tasks associated with the implementation of information security specific ISO standards and common risk frameworks. Ensures compliance with internet security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitors and maintains physical security systems including corporate identification badging systems. Adds, updates and deletes employee badge profiles to maintain the integrity of the access control systems at company facilities.
- Creates identification badges and assigns access levels based upon job functions.
Ensures employees and business associates are aware of facility access requirements and procedures. Supports training of personnel and conducts briefings of new and current employees concerning security procedures. Assists with the identification and analysis of possible security threats and vulnerabilities with company-wide impact. Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Assists with audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal security policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintains records and arranges service calls with security vendors to inspect and repair security equipment. Maintains inventory of security supplies, such as identification badges, to ensure demands are addressed. Supports information risk assessments by compiling and analyzing security data and metrics. Provide customer service and represent the Information Risk Management group internally and externally to support business objectives. Previous experience working with access control and ID badging systems. Basic understanding of government regulatory requirements for the protection of sensitive information and the ability to apply standards in a healthcare environment. Availability to travel throughout the United States up to 25%. Prior security experience in a healthcare or other regulated environment is preferred. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (3–5 years) experience in IT information security.
- Knowledge and familiarity with applicable laws and standards (NIST special publications, HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley).
- Knowledge of information security best practices, ISO standards, and common risk framework.
- Basic understanding of core business processes and ability to interpret them into security requirements.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of the health care business and care delivery processes preferred.
