Position for Critical Care Service Line

Role Summary:  Provides quality, cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic management and clinical interventions to improve patient care at Mission. Provides, ensures and assists with pharmacotherapeutic and didactic instruction to UNC School of Pharmacy students on critical care clerkships at Mission Hospital and collaboration with member institutions. Provision of teaching, mentoring and student support as shared faculty with UNC School of Pharmacy.

Required Education:(1) Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of college of pharmacy (2) Completion of a residency in pharmacy or two or more years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice

Preferred Education:  Completion of a residency in critical care or equivalent experience in critical care

Required License:  (1) An active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, or eligible to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days (2) Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or eligible for board certification

Required Experience:  Current or eligibility for faculty appointment to UNC School of Pharmacy

Preferred Experience:  (1) Prior inpatient hospital experience with precepting responsibilities (2) Demonstrated skills in leadership, effective written and verbal communication and ability to multi-task and prioritize (3) Prior experience or training using Cerner
