  • Job Summary: The VP – Technology Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the management of people, processes and technology to ensure successful delivery of services and the driving of standards and methodologies related around ITIL, Technology and Project Management. The Vice President oversees capacity planning, strategic direction and overall performance management of a delivery team responsible for planning and implementing department needs while monitoring plans, teams and processes. Span of control includes operating systems, unified communication systems, storage systems, and disaster recovery systems. The primary responsibility of the VP of Technical Services is to lead the development of and manage the strategic vision for Mission Health System’s IT infrastructure. In addition, the VP is also responsible for assessing trends and competition in the marketplace and driving change within the operations that will increase customer adoption, more effectively utilize resources and ensure service levels and customer satisfaction are achieved.

    Required Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Services or related field

    Preferred Education: MBA or similar post graduate degree in Computer Services or related field

    Required experience: Seven years in Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems, ITIL experience or certification a plus and Project Management.  Experience and accountability to implement cost effective systems of control over capital and operating expenditures, including labor costs.  Proven ability to manage complex analysis and projects.   Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to create compelling business cases for an executive audience.   Demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to organize, motivate and lead diverse teams in order to achieve results. Strong business and financial acumen with an ability to analyze a technology problem or opportunity in business terms. Able to assemble long-term business cases and programs of investment.  A technology "thought leader" with experience in and an understanding of corporate, multi-unit, and global operations management.   Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.   Experience with a matrix organization where influence must replace control.

    Preferred experience: Ten to fifteen years Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems, ITIL experience or certification a plus and Project Management.  Experience and accountability to implement cost effective systems of control over capital and operating expenditures, including labor costs.  Proven ability to manage complex analysis and projects.   Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to create compelling business cases for an executive audience.   Demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to organize, motivate and lead diverse teams in order to achieve results.
