  • Job Summary: Responsible and accountable for daily operations of Forensic Program.  Integrates clinical, human resources, and financial data to support decision making.  Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Develops programs and resources related to the care of  many patient populations  involving forensics, both  in the hospital setting and throughout Mission Health System. Works in collaboration with multiple departments and services internally and externally to identify and implement best practices patterns across the continuum that provide optimal patient care, efficient resources utilization and top performance for patient satisfaction and quality performance indicators throughout Mission. Supervises and facilitates the management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery throughout Mission.  Problem-solving and collaboration independently and as delegated by the Executive Director.

    Required Education: Graduate of RN Educational Program.  FNE/SANE education program completion which meets Law in North Carolina, North Carolina Board of Nursing and International Association of Forensic Nurses standards required. Bachelor degree in nursing or related field.

    Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing with emphasis in Forensic Nursing

    Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state as defined by North Carolina Board of Nursing, current BLS

    Preferred License: None

    Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills

    Preferred Experience: Experience in the area of Forensic Nursing previous supervisory experience
