Job Details:
  • Pharmacist Clinical Faculty in Medicine 

    Role Summary: Provides quality, cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic management and clinical interventions to improve patient care at Mission. Provides, ensures and assists with pharmacotherapeutic and didactic instruction to UNC School of Pharmacy students on medicine clerkships at Mission Hospital and collaboration with member institutions. Provision of teaching, mentoring and student support as shared faculty with UNC School of Pharmacy.

    Required Education: Completion of a degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy. Completion of a PGY1 residency in pharmacy or two or more years of inpatient adult medicine experience.

    Required Licensure: Maintenance of a current and active license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina or current eligibility to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days of hire required

    Required Experience: Current eligibility for a faculty appointment to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

    Preferred Licensure: Completion of Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy. Current eligibility for a Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner (CPP) license Preferred Experience: Completion of two or more years of clinical practice experience with precepting responsibilities. Demonstration of skills in leadership and scholarship. Demonstration of prior experience or training using Cerner. Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
