Position Description: The Senior Service Manager position will be responsible for the management of maintenance personnel within the assigned branch or branches.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 9 (nine) years of technical work experience
  • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of industry related experience required
  • Additional Requirements: - Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    - Five years of supervisory experience preferred.
    - Proficient PC skills to include Microsoft Office
    - Knowledge of P and L preferred
    - Candidate must possess knowledge of execution of performance management process, and basic understanding of business finance.
    - Ability to select, train and develop high caliber personnel
    - Must exhibit strong ability in communication, leadership and hands-on mechanics and customer service.
    - SMS knowledge is a plus.
    - Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and the ability to act independently.

    Responsibilities: The Senior Service Manager will be held accountable for the following at each Ryder shop:

  • Work analysis, planning and assignment
  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance Process
  • Inventory management
  • Safety and EPA compliance
  • Customer/driver interaction and service
  • Facility maintenance including all shop tools and equipment
  • Review, analyze and track maintenance measures
  • Create action plans for continuous improvement
  • Ensure Shop Management System (SMS) is maintained
  • Ensure maintenance of all files required to meet and/or exceed government requirements.
  • Quality assurance of work performed/deliverables
  • Financial forecasting and cost control related to maintenance
  • Manage running costs and maintenance overheads
  • Ensuring and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Ensure a safe and productive operation through proper implementation and administration of company policies and procedures.
