Position Description: The Management Trainee program is designed to be completed in 18 – 24 months (max) and provides the trainee with knowledge and experience in multiple Supply Chain verticals plus key support functions.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance or a related field
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Must be willing to relocate.
    • Extra curricular activities that illustrate leadership.
    • Previous internship experience preferred

    Responsibilities: The trainee at some point will be assigned supervisory level responsibility to support one or more operations.
    Training will involve at least 4 month rotating assignments within each vertical with the focus being on developing knowledge, and competencies in all work and processes. Curriculum and training plans will be provided to guide the manager and trainee in each learning activity. Trainee will be evaluated at the conclusion of each 4 month cycle to determine qualifications and ability to move to next area of training. Areas of training include; equipment management, trip management, employee relations, inbound and outbound planning and coordination, picking and replenishment, shipping and planning, safety, procurement, carrier contracting, freight bill audit and payment, etc.
    The training will also involve familiarity with key support functions such as finance, engineering, safety, and human resources.
