Main purpose of the job


  • Unleash profitable growth for Unilever Food Solutions through outstanding packaging across innovation, sustainability and VIP, defining medium/long term category packaging strategy and roadmap.

  • Lead the Sustainability agenda of Unilever Food Solutions, with primary focus on technical substantiation plans and portfolio oversight across main thrusts (waste, food safety, nutrition and sustainable sourcing).

Main accountabilities


  • Set global packaging and sustainability strategy for Unilever Food Solutions and manage delivery and change agenda for packaging and sustainability globally.

  • Ensure alignment to Unilever corporate goals and agreed best practices for packaging and sustainability (e.g. execution process)

  • Develop appropriate targets, scorecards and measures for packaging & sustainability

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of personal targets of all (30+) packaging engineers supporting Unilever Food Solutions. Review key projects to get packaging engineers learn from experience.

  • Acquire, assess and develop appropriate personnel and external support to deliver project portfolio.

  • Career and skill development for Unilever Food Solutions packaging engineers

  • Work with other category leaders to ensure a consistent and harmonised approach across programmes.
