Human Resources Operations Coordinator
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, this position will be responsible for a broad range of HR operational services. This position will be the first point of contact for the hourly workforce. It will provide support on issues relating to employee relations, employment law, compensation/benefits administration, recruitment and selection, as well as administrations of HR policies and programs.

Employee Relations:
As the first point of contact to the hourly workforce, the HR Operations Coordinator will interpret all employee inquiries and work with the HR Business Partner and frontline supervisors for resolution. Responsibilities include policy interpretation, local employee advocacy, and ensuring Unilever's high standard of integrity, while balancing employee and manager customer service.
The role delivers all the HR administrative and transaction activities that are not provided by vendors. Will also administer online exit, IR/ER (handbook/CBA, disciplinary action documentation), garnishments/court orders, subpoena of records, bidding/bumping, pay rate changes (coordination w/ supervisor), and leave and return to work procedures.
Talent Management:
Provides support for HR activities relating to recruitment and performance management. Assist Line Managers in the recruitment & testing of hourly employees utilizing college recruiting and third-party recruiting services. Partner with Line Managers to manage the selection and on-boarding for new hires.

HR Processes:
Responsible to develop and maintain deep knowledge of all key HR Tools, systems and processes. These include PeopleSoft, Learning Management System, Talent Management System, Unilever portal, and other related HR processes and tools.

Challenges:
One of the main challenges of this role is to keep a local customer service mindset while keeping overall Unilever strategy in mind.
Managing and prioritizing the workload of multiple customers.
Fully understanding and navigating through the Unilever systems/ processes and staying on top of changes. Ensures compliance with Federal and State
Employment regulations.
Develop a mindset of embracing change and continuous improvement. Constant change is a way of working and adapting to the changes along with being a positive change agent is a critical challenge in this role. Develop an atmosphere which allows for the full creativity and engagement of all employees.
Educate employees to self-manage their HR Services and engage with our provider Enterprise Support HR Services as required. The HR Operations Coordinator will be challenged to not perform the work that should be done by outsourced HR Services but rather must use the existing processes including the issues management and escalation processes.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
PHR or SPHR preferred.
Minimum 2 years HR experience preferred.
Individual must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Exhibits professional written and oral communication skills through written correspondence and verbal communication.
