We are looking for a Regional R&D Foods Process Development Technologist to work in Ã?mraniye / Istanbul.



Main Accountabilities:


·         Region specific processing knowledge & expertise including third party configurations.


·         Process Development Engineer on regional projects with responsibility for the savoury category.


·         Prepare, review and approve engineering documents (Process Specifications, P&Ids, General Arrangements, Equipment Specs).


·         Manage project Networks and coordinate multiple R&D work-streams to deliver projects into the countries across the Region


·         Interact with Global, Regional and Local teams to deliver feasibility trials, expertise and capability to the Countries. This will involve briefing these teams to ensure readiness for trials, as well as capturing learning's (reports) from these trials.


·         Assist with various technical troubleshooting requests across the NAMET (North Africa, Middle East, Turkey) region


·         Works to improve Processing skills, development plans and training.


·         Effective planning to enable delivery of high quality prototypes for testing with consumer in regional/local and global projects.


·         Provide technical leadership to global and/or regional businesses for project risk assessments, evaluate proposed manufacturing sites, and conduct main plant trials.


·         Competent in application of best practices in technology delivery (Project Execution, Early Product Management, Process Specifications, Process Validation).


·         Design and supervision of pilot plant experiments.


·         Supervision and reporting of Main Plant Trials.


·         Monitor Process Engineering field for improvements in designs, new technologies, training programmes etc.


·         Ensure pilot plant designs are consistent with category recommendations and are scaleable within the region.


·         As key interface with Supply Chain and other R&D functions, must have or quickly develop network of peers in categories and regions in order to leverage Unilever experience. Maintain awareness of category and regional differences and identify ways to harmonize. Involve new Master Plan studies.


·         Operate according to procedures, equipment and ways of working in line with the Unilever frameworks, standards and policies (SHE, SEAC etc)


 


Skills / Experience:


 


·         Preferably graduated from Engineering or Science Department


·         Minimum 2 years of  experience in a relevant field


·         Excellence in analytical thinking & creativity


·         Having strong communication skills


·         Fluent in English (both writing & speaking)
