Sr. Brand Development Manager, Body Care NA

Job Summary:
We lead the Body Care NA category with a portfolio of brands including Vaseline, Suave, ST Ives and Dove. We are seeking a Regional Brand Development Manager to take on this charge and help drive the regional Body Care Category strategy for North America. Key focus will be brand equity building for our brands in the US & Canadian market place, working closely with the global team (co - located) and BB teams to identify a clear path to growth.

Specifically we are seeking someone who:
- Can understand the consumer and translate this knowledge to create insightful communication and innovation.
- Is comfortable leading and receiving regional and global brand development initiatives.
- Can develop and deliver inspiring briefs to technical teams, agency teams and other creative teams to deliver amazing product mixes and communication
- Can effectively manage teams and collaborate across global BD and regional BB
Understands key performance metrics

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Lead and excite internal cross-functional teams to deliver at least 3-4 globally-led and regionally-led innovation projects that support larger brand strategy for NA.

For regional projects, drive and manage every aspect of the innovation from project creation to launch including insight/concept development and testing, product/packaging development and testing, financial business case development, display development and retailer sell-in.

For global projects, serve as project leader with NA cross-functional team, responsible for shaping global project to meet NA consumer requirements and implementing within the region.

2. For new NA innovations, media or channel specific advertising opportunities, co-develop focused inspiring briefs to lead the advertising agency to deliver world-class communication. Help lead digital thinking.

3. Must gain solid understanding of the NA consumer and competitive personal care market. Work with Market Research to develop and implement a NA consumer learning plan when required and on specific project related market research plans.

4. Work closely with cross functional teams:
- Supporting global brand key vision, architecture, innovation and communication
- Achieving regional vision, mission and ambitions
- Lead a multitude of cross-functional and agency teammates.
- Help drive business to sustain double-digit growth rates in NA.
- Co-manage innovation development budget with global partners.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- Post graduate business study (MBA) or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
This position requires demonstrated performance in the required marketing skills and Unilever competencies. As a reference point, the following are guidelines:
- Clear demonstration of external orientation, team leadership, team commitment, influencing others
- 6 - 10 yrs experience in any of the following areas: Brand Marketing, Brand Development, Brand Building.
- Demonstrated ability to understand a consumer target and position a brand, project, innovation around consumer insights
- Experience leading agencies (esp. writing insightful briefs that led to great consumer relevant work)
- Solid demonstration of successful business results
- Ideally experience in either Body Care or Face care
- Project management experience (global is a plus)
- Can demonstrate strength in strategic thinking/portfolio management
