BACKGROUND
The Customer Replenishment Specialist is responsible for their customer's short term replenishment cycle within their assigned categories. The main focus is on improving On-Shelf Availability by using detailed knowledge of the customer's systems at a store and depot level.
MAIN JOB PURPOSE AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This role may spend time located at the customer's head office and will predominantly interact with their systems such as Retail Link or Horizon rather than Unilever systems like APO. Subject to the level of access granted by the customer, the Customer Replenishment Specialist duties may vary from full creation of vendor management inventory orders, to initiating change scripts, to providing spread-sheet analysis of SKU stock and availability levels.
The Customer Replenishment Specialist will provide insight on stocking levels at depot and store, plus changes to distribution or buy-in phasing to help with interpretation of buy-in patterns and decision making during short stock situations. Where customer activity plans are seen to be out of line with Unilever expectations, they will inform the CAM, and where actual buy-in is very different to plan - alert Category Replenishment Planners directly
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities: In assigned category within Customer Account Group
- Deliver optimum On Shelf Availability through interactions with customer systems.
- Building close relationships with customer contacts to help maximise on-shelf availability.
- Administer CPFR process by running daily and weekly reports to identify exception, researching stock issues and recommending actions to customer supply chain.
- Day to day contact and relationship with customer supply chain controllers.
- Support Customer Account Manager in short term planning meeting with customer buyer and supply chain.
- Alerting Replenishment Planners of SKUs on the critical pack list that sell very differently to plan.
- Handle major incongruities to customer ordering pattern, such as depot or store openings.
- Drive sales through insights.
- With the Customer Service Specialist, seek to minimise impact on customer service of shortages.
- Report and analyse Key Performance Indicators, implementing continuous improvement activities around these. Support Category Demand Planners in category review of volume variances, through formal root cause major variances and agree preventive actions.
- Support rest of customer service team to maintain operational cover in times of absence or other priorities
Key Skills Requirements
- The individuals will be passionate, energetic and enthusiastic about delivering. Good interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills are preferred.
- They will have a demonstrable track record of delivery in Customer Service including good experience with managing customers, and will probably have a demand planning background.
