Job Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the capacity of Nurse Case Manager. This is a full-time, temporary contract position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient utilization review and discharge planning.
- Coordinate with patients, family members and health plan.
- Communicate with providers and physicians.
- Review and coordinate medical necessity of care.
Job Qualifications:
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in performing case management, concurrent review, utilization management or discharge planning.
- Previous experience working with InterQual guidelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare guidelines.
Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
- BSN is preferred.
