Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a Software Product Manager to join our client in Parsippany, NJ.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate for the job would be someone that has worked on products similar to NEMO, TEMS pocket, PCTEL or someone with x-Samsung (handsets), x-LG experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Software architecture and research
- Manage and lead the development of various software tools. Manage project status and monitor project's metrics.
- Manage a team of programmers and testers.
- Identifies potential project milestones and creates/executes mitigation plan to stay on schedule.
- Maintains accurate weekly project status reports, timely communication of meeting notes and follow ups on action items to close outstanding issues per project.
- Identifies project impacting issues and works with cross-functional internal resources to develop and implement solutions.
- Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to streamline process and activities associated to role and responsibilities.
- Define the user experience; Identify & document customer & business requirements to guide product & feature development
- Support the launch of new products/devices and services
- Designs test plans and test cases
- Maintain product documentations
- Manage and Resolve users' trouble tickets
- Conduct onsite support and customer trainings/demos
Job Qualifications:
- MS or BS in Telecommunications Engineering or IT
- Strong experience in writing product requirements
- Experience creating call flow and architecture diagrams
- Minimum three (3) years experience in wireless
- Three (3) plus years of experience in software product development, architecture and management
- Good understanding of 3G/LTE architecture, voice and data supplementary services, messaging services
- Hands on with 3GPP and OMA standards
- Good understanding of telecom and IP protocols;
- Good experience in database and software development
- Hands on experience with Android and Java development
- Ability to communicate ideas and technical specs through documentation is a key requirement
- Computer literate: Excel, MS Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Hands on with MS Vizio, MS Project
Preferred Job Skill / Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous experience with chipset or handset manufacturer
- Experience with .Net and visual studio
- Low level programming experience
- Previous experience with data collection tools such as TEMS, NEMO, XCAL or other similar tools
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and layer 2/3 messages
