Yoh has a six (6) month contract opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist to join our client in Waukesha, WI.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface with all selected non-core suppliers for quote packages and expedite deliveries.
- Prepare and process move orders for existing inventory and fixtures/tooling.
- Interface with supply chain buyers and planners for ramp up and cut-in.
- Conduct supplier research on current and proposed engine component suppliers
- Perform cost analysis on quotes received.
- Issue quotations to suppliers and prepare quote analysis and recommendations.
- Issue requisitions and purchase orders in Oracle to obtain production parts and service.
- Contact suppliers coordinate and issue communications and action plans to suppliers and personnel.
- Responsible for tracking sourcing activity to the master plan.
- Responsible for and tracking product internal cost and actual quoted costs.
- Input and track supply chain and manufacturing key activity into the MS-Project or Excel and schedule reviews.
- Select and approve appropriate suppliers using sound RFQ processes based on best fit for NPI requirements.
- Negotiate best terms e.g. delivery quality cost lead time and monitor supplier performance to agreed milestone timeline.
- Determine capacity availability with supplier to align achievable date with milestones
- Maintain Oracle system data integrity e.g. supplier details; costs; payment terms; supplier files; sourcing rules and Make verse Buy.
- Edit purchase requests execute appropriation requests e.g. purchase orders and requisitions; reconcile invoices with purchase orders to aid payment processing
- Review supplier performance to milestones and advise project leaders of potential delays and bottlenecks.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or (10) years of supply chain experience with experience in Oracle or similar ERP
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant sourcing and /or manufacturing experience
- Experience with logistics, ground/air freight, customs, and compliance
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes used in castings, forgings, machining, and fabrications
- Knowledge of commodities, spend analysis and supplier data file organization
- Knowledge of quality systems including FPQ and GD&T
- Experience buying engine components in castings, forgings, machining, and fabrication commodities.
- New product introduction experience.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a strong focus on data-driven decision making
- Cross-functional experience and experience working across cultures, teams and time zones with ability to handle multiple tasks in compressed timeframes.
- Proven project management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and on budget.
- Able to assemble a team strategy and drive execution in a matrix environment.
- Process analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills.
- Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; integrative team working style.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is desired
- Hands-on manufacturing experience of engine components is preferred
