Job Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work in the capacity of Infection Control Manager. This is a full-time, benefited direct hire position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and management of evidence-based clinical practices that focus on infection prevention and enhance the infection control program.
- Actively participate in performance improvement activities and consult in the implementation of educational programs.
- Coordinate efforts and create a strategic plan to minimizing risk.
- Develops a system for identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases.
- Conducts investigations of potential exposures and reports findings to the Medical Director and the Infection Control Committee.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience in infection control.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations as they pertain to privacy and security of protected health information.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements TJC Standards, CMS, CDPH regulations, state and federal regulatory agency requirements standards and regulations.
Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Certifications:
- Board Certification in Infection Control is preferred.
