Experience: - 5+ years of previous Business/System Analyst responsibilities in a large campaign management and applications team with proven success working in a service-centric organization, with the customer at the center - Experience with writing test plans and use cases Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Solid understanding of relational database management systems, SQL, business intelligence tools/campaign management tools and reporting tools - SQL Skills - Must be able to write queries to extract data needed for client requests, create queries to validate campaign audiences, and construct queries joining to multiple tables - Demonstrated proficiency using a campaign management tool (e.g., Aprimo, Unica) and the ability to train others - Direct Marketing Knowledge - A basic understanding of the steps required to execute direct marketing (on-line and off-line) campaigns - Exhibits intense curiosity, to dig beneath the superficial and identify facts Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science/Information Systems, Math, or similar required
One of America's premier technical companies is launching an exciting new integrated customer database marketing, analytics, and solutions business. We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst responsible for identifying, prioritizing and developing requirements specifications. They will use their project management, analytical and excellent written and oral communications skills to drive successful results. The Business Analyst will also play a testing and quality assurance role, creating test plans and developing data and campaign quality assurance methodologies. A strong understanding of relational database management systems, file processing and data hygiene is critical. This role interfaces with multiple teams to achieve results. Primary Responsibilities 1. Product Requirements - Responsible for owning written requirements specifications, from initial creation through change management and solution delivery. Requirements will shape the development of next generation media planning and campaign measurement systems and tools that encompass multiple platforms, traditional and digital - Ensures that requirements are identified, prioritized and incorporated in an effective manner with supporting teams. - Relates all requirements to internal clients - Understands the team/departments requirements, creates clear/precise detailed requirements and proactively solicits current/future needs to support marketing operations 2. Project Management - Works with internal and external technical resources to ensure technical implementation tasks are assigned and completed in a timely manner - Plans, schedules activities and facilitates needed communication to confirm and deliver on requirements. - Coordinates technology vendors/partners for campaign execution. - Develops and delivers operational reporting for leadership. - Delivers status updates and reporting of any jeopardy items associated with delivery and testing of requirements. - Works closely with IT to ensure requirements are followed, product capabilities are accurate, user functionality is flawless, testing is well carried out and team timeliness are steadily kept for product launches - Responsible for facilitating and coordinating delivery of reports needed to respond to custom data requests 3. Testing and Quality Assurance - Performs quality assurance and testing on all finished work - Executes quality assurance and user acceptance testing for campaign and campaign files including ongoing campaign maintenance. - Supports other teams in the organization by assisting in the development of technical designs, assisting the system test team, either through coaching on the enhancement and/or doing some testing directly - Attends testing meetings 4. Research and Documentation - Utilizes strong data analysis and data mapping skills - Responsible for creating data dictionary - Responsible for documenting existing solutions - Assists in the writing of user and technical documentation
