- MS/MBA with engineering/technology background highly preferred - 12+ years experience in wireless industry with in-depth knowledge of wireless devices and overall mobile industry is required - Past success in establishing a clear focus, vision and direction of complex, large-scale commercial software projects. - Proficiency in MS Office inc. This involves: a. Analyzing and evaluating emerging and future consumer trends and proactively drive VZ strategies and solutions b. Identifying strategic business opportunities for Verizon and assist in their evolution. Would require business case analysis, war gaming exercises and detailed competitive analysis - Developing a 2-3 yr rolling strategic roadmap/plan that accounts for cost benefits, ecosystem evolution and new services. You and your team will provide strategic vision and business leadership to support the creation and evolution of new services. Your team will be the primary interface for strategic planning organizations within the company and will be responsible for laying out wireless service strategies - Identifying potential M&A opportunities for Verizon to pursue based on identified strategies - Participating actively and providing feedback during the ideation phases for strategic services and technologies; Creating and defining innovative concepts and assist in driving these concepts into commercialization - Drive the definition and development of strategic tools that can be applied/used vor future strategic analysis - Evangelize the identified strategy across different levels and facilitate, coordinate and promote strategic discussions with multiple external organizations including vendors, technology and marketing partners to understand key industry trends and to communicate key VZW strategic directions in a timely manner; - Assist and drive executive/board presentations/planning meetings based on defined strategies and evolving trends
