Solutions Engineer Advisor Sr (Technical Lead)
The preferred location for this position is Mason, OH; however, the manager is willing to consider any WellPoint location or 100% remote work. 
 
The Customer Systems - Mobile Apps Development Team is looking to hire bright candidates with strong experience and technical skills to take the consumer mobile experience to next level and make it best in class. This Solutions Engineer Advisor Sr / Technical Lead position will be responsible for developing state of the art Mobile Apps that will compliment the business needs and set WellPoint apart and ahead of the competition.
 
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Analysis of business requirements, use cases to design and develop/code Mobile Applications
  • Creation/Update of Detailed Design Document
  • Developing/Coding Apps based on design, requirements identified
  • Providing Estimates and Define development path for specific projects, capabilities
  • Develop Code and/or lead code development with set of resources onsite and offshore
  • Create and perform feature unit testing and determines environmental and other performance bottleneck       
  • Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.       
  • Partners with business, architecture and infrastructure to ensure Mobile Apps built meet identified requirements/guidelines     
  • Defines detail design components with high level architecture blueprints for Mobile Apps       
  • Provides consultation for integration activities to ensure successful implementation


Requires a BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training; 7 or more years related experience; multi platform experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, and provide troubleshooting support.  Incumbent should also have the ability to mentor others, lead multiple small projects and provide troubleshooting support. Requires problem solving skills and examples of challenges overcome as well as abillity to exhibit self leadership and goal setting.
Technical Skill Sets:
 
Required:
  • Strong skills Mobile Development using - J2EE, Java Servlets, JQuery or similar technology
  • Database Connection Pooling for Mobile Application
  • Knowledge and Experience in utilizing Enterprise Service (Service Oriented Arch) , SOAP Integration
  • Android OS knowledge – Developed applications at the OS level in one or both
  • iPhone iOS knowledge – Developed applications at the OS level in one or both
  • SPA, HTML, HTML5 JavaScript, CSS3 based Mobile development, implementation experience
  • Clear Case or similar code configuration knowledge
  • Instrumentation with Google Analytics or similar
  • Rational Software Development Toolset and Processes
 
Strongly Preferred:
  • Certified Kony Developer
  • At least 12 months Kony IDE Development Experience
  • At least 12 months Kony cross platform development experience Android, iPhone and SPA
 
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of Agile development
  • SiteMinder Integration including security understanding
  • Video, Voice, Chat integration
