We are searching for a Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) Subject Matter Expert (SME -Systems Engineer 3) to support the DISA GCCS-J PMO customer onsite with their customer at a USSTRATCOM, Scott AFB, St. Louis, MO.
The SME will at as liaison between operational needs and command and control software solutions, on behalf of Northrop Grumman and DISA with the supported COCOM site and their subordinate commands. Additionally, at the joint level, the SME will be part of a team who is working to provide a steady flow of requirements and intelligence to DISA and the Northrop Grumman development team.
Each SME is selected based on the experience, education, and ability to provide the most value-added support. This allows them to support a variety of activities from integration and validation to direct support of the war fighters, from evaluating the mission-essential requirements to evaluating and supporting the GCCS-J product line. The representative shall understand the unique C2 system mission needs of their assigned customers and communicate those needs to the PMO.
Duties include:
· Provide onsite GCCS-J technical support.
· Provide spot over-the-shoulder training on use of the system.
· Identify and elevate issues of relevance to the customer and the PMO.
· Coordinate between the PMO and customer on monthly topics, demonstration of new capabilities, participation in LUAs and other test events, and other interactions with the customer.
· Identify suboptimal uses of GCCS-J by the warfighter and provide actionable recommendations for improving its use
· Perform GCCS-J marketing activities and support PMO strategic communications.
· Assist with installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and use of GCCS-J systems.
· Ability to provide work station software administration and technical support services.
· Provide summary information on test results and interoperability issues.
· Ensure the fielding needs are met during the actual fielding of the products and during the on-site requested visits.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
· BS degree in a technical field; additional years experience may be considered in lieu of degree
· 5+ years applicable experience
· Experience with installation, configuration, operation, and use of GCCS-J or related systems
· Experience as a GCCS-J,A,M,AF system administrator or troubleshooter
· Active Secret clearance
· Security Plus certification
· Proficiency as an administrator with Windows O/S, UNIX, and Solaris including Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN). This includes administration of user accounts, passwords, e-mail, collaboration and FTP services.
· Familiarity with military organizations, ranks, and procedures.
