Network Security Engineer to support the MDA CERT on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO.
Network Security Engineer to perform Computer Network Defense (CND) Protection analysis of Subscriber network vulnerability scan (VS) results, determine impacts to network operations, review corrective/mitigation actions, coordinate corrective actions reports and assist with residual risk analysis. Conduct an Anti-Malware program to pass on Anti-Malware Alerts and warnings to Subscribers, respond to Subscriber reports of malware and assist Subscribers in implementing protective/anti-malware measures. Conduct the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program to include dissemination monitoring and tracking IAVM notifications to Subscribers. The Protection team reviews Subscriber IAVM Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and provides technical assistance (as required). The Network Security Engineer will also be responsible for reviewing Information Operations Condition (INFOCON) directives; performing network security threat/impact assessments; conducting reviews of computer/network activities to assess the adequacy of enclave boundary protections and providing recommendations on areas requiring improvement. The Engineer will develop, establish, review, and update CND response procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Internal Operating Processes, manuals, and other MDA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) documentation. This position will be 1st Shift: 5:00 am - 2:00 pm (Tues - Sat).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience. One of the following certifications is required IAW DoD 8570.1-M: CISA, GSNA, CEH, Security +, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP or CISSP. Must be willing to work a mission critical shift which may include evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Must be willing to travel on short notice. Travel requirements will usually not exceed two weeks on any given assignment. Must have experience providing security analysis and solutions in a WAN/LAN environment. Candidate must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CERT/CND security policies and procedures. Ability to work as part of an integrated network operations and support team.
