- Operates and maintains Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) equipment. Obtains and enters mission data into the TCTS Mission Line Up (MLU). Interacts with mission coordinator and squadron when mission data is not received in a timely manner. Verifies all information received from the squadron is correct and accurately displayed on the display system. Assist Range Training Officers (RTO's)/Controllers with mission and equipment set-up as required. Monitors live missions and notifies supervisor of any malfunctions as soon as possible.
Inputs, monitors and labels radio frequencies as necessary. Create new mission file for the next scheduled mission. Starts and stops mission recording and transfer mission file to debrief rooms for mission replay and for archives.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on assigned equipments. Verify operability after maintenance actions. Document all maintenance actions in Maximo and enters mission data in Mission Summary Form (MSF).
- Manages Joint Display System (JDS) workstations by installing and configuring software, administering user accounts, and managing disk usage. Performs software backups and Information Assurance (IA) security patches as required.
- Must be Operationally qualified 6 month from date of hire and Maintenance qualified within 1 year.
- Work schedule will vary depending on the last scheduled flight/debrief each day.
- Reports to the TCTS Operations Supervisor.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Technical school in hardware/software operations
- Two or more years experience with computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Two or more years experience with database entry and management
- Able to speak, read, write and understand English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of aviation operations and special use airspace
- One or more years experience in tactical training range environment
