We are looking for a Network Engineer in Arlington, VA. This position will move to Ft. Meade, MD in April, 2010. TS/SCI Clearance is required.
Support the JTF-GNO/J3 by managing and maintaining Internet Access Point (IAP) security policy filters, validating the filter's effectiveness and resolving issues caused by implementation of JTFGNO directed security policy at the IAP. Establish requirements for new tools to accomplish this task and monitor their life cycle to insure the ability to support JTFGNO computer Network Defense mission. Build, modify, and/or remove Juniper and CISCO router format Access Control Lists (ACL) and Firewall Filters. Possess CISCO CCNA or Juniper CIA/CIS or documented equivalent skills. Demonstrate understanding of Protocols, Port Services (PPS) and IP addressing schemas such as domains, DNS, sub-netting, whitelisting best practices, BGP prefixes and Antonymous System Numbers (ASN). Coordinate with engineers, working groups and program managers to monitor fielding and integration of tools.
Additional desired skills:
Deep knowledge of DISA and JTF-GNO organization, policies, work flows and DISA Circulars/STIGs. Ability to create/modify/edit Microsoft Application products to include Visio. Ability to perform Trends and Analysis of circuit/trunk/link outages, able to use Remedy, INMS, HD-MAP, Arbor PeakFlow, Renesys Routing Intelligence and E-Health. Knowledge of DISN services such as satellite (MILSTAR, STEP/TELEPORT, GBS/DVB-RCS), ATM, Promina, DRSN, DSN, etc. Knowledge of TSO/TSRs, WWOLS-R, TCOSS.

o Global Information Grid (GIG) Infrastructure Services Management Center (GISMC)
o Coalition Network Operations (NetOPs) Center (CNC)
o Global NetOps Support Center (GNSC)/Theater NetOPs Centers (TNCs)
o Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Management Office (HPCMO)
o Australian, British, and Canadian coalition partners
o Director of National Intelligence Secure Network (DNI-S)
o Department of Home Land Security
· Provide input in meetings to represent JTF-GNO's position related to NetOps CONOPS
· Work with GNSC/TNCs in identification of potential and actual SIPRNet DMZ problem areas, and resolution of issues and difficulties.
· Review and provide comments on documents created by other organizations related to DMZs, e.g.:
o REL DMZ CONOPS
o REL DMZ User's Guide
o REL DMZ Technical Implementation Instructions (TII)
o Multiple implementation plans to change/upgrade both FED and REL DMZs
o Connection plans provided by DISA IA3 and external agencies/organizations for connecting to the FED DMZ
o Testing plans, e.g. JFCOM/JTEN testing
· Assist with the development of DMZ Tactics, Tips and Procedures (TTPs) for the NetOps community
· As required, develop white papers, briefings, and trend analysis on SIPRNet DMZs, e.g.:
o Write white papers to be used by JTF-GNO management to clear up misunderstandings by senior management of the REL DMZ infrastructure.
o Develop briefing material for use by the J322 to brief senior JTF management on the progress and issues with the REL DMZ and suggested actions to take
o Develop and present material for the monthly Trends Brief in regards to circuit and application utilization, trouble tickets, and the current and future function and infrastructure of the REL and FED DMZ
o Brief JTF-GNO Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff on status and future of REL and FED DMZs
· Coordinate, develop, obtain signatures, and provide for release Operational Directive Messages (ODMs) to authorize configuration changes to the SIPRNet DMZs
· Provide knowledge in security areas related to the SIPRNet DMZs and possible effects on the Global Information Grid.
