UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Emergency Medicine is currently seeking a Physician Assistant. You will be responsible for the delivery of clinical services in the ED, teaching of physician assistants, medical students and residents rotating through the ED under the direction of an attending physician. Specific responsibilities will also include working collaboratively with Departments and Divisions within the Medical School on collaborative research projects, as well as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital leadership on quality assurance programs involving emergency medicine services. To qualify, you should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Instructor and must have a degree as a Physician Assistant. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, is a level I trauma center which evaluates and treats over 70,000 visits/year. The hospital serves as our principal teaching affiliate. (Pediatric emergency care is located in a separate location in the hospital, and services are provided by the Department of Pediatrics) Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is one of eight schools of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). The medical school is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the education of health professionals, in the conduct of biomedical, clinical, and public health research, in the delivery of health care and in the promotion of community health for the residents of the state. With twenty-one basic science and clinical departments and 75 centers and institutes, 2,500 fulltime and volunteer faculty, and 600 medical students, the school has active programs on its three campuses in Piscataway, New Brunswick and Camden.
