Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Classification: Compensation Analyst Salary: $46,650 - $77,750 Location: Headquarters – Harrisburg, PA Department: Human Resources Shift: 8:00am – 5:00 pm PHEAA is the nation's leading nonprofit student aid organization, devoting its energy to developing innovative ways to ease the financial burden of higher education. Through its loan guaranty, loan servicing, financial aid processing systems and outreach programs, PHEAA serves millions of students and thousands of schools across the nation. Core Job Functions: • Direct the annual salary planning processes; includes compensation system design, testing, and training for users; drafts planning process guidelines and instructions; coordinates with Employee Services team and IT Department on system design and set-up • Develop communication materials and programs to educate HR Business Partners, employees and leaders about company pay philosophy and compensation programs. • On a regular basis, provide analysis and recommendations for questions and projects involving job analysis/evaluation, new position grading, job ladder reviews and development, job alignment/internal equity, market pricing, Fair Labor Standards Act evaluations, new hire salary determinations, and other special studies. • Coordinate and participate in all facets of company compensation benchmarking endeavors; includes job matching with line managers, attending industry survey meetings, preparing survey submissions, analyzing survey results, preparing survey result summaries and recommendations for presentation to management. • Conduct post planning analysis of salary plans. Prepare and present results to management. • Liaison with Employee Services and Payroll for compensation-related systems, processes, and practices. Work with Employee Services and IT to maintain compensation related tables in HRIS systems, including updates to the systems, queries, and reports. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of principles and procedures for compensation and benefits, including compliance with the state and federal laws that apply to the plans. • Must possess strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills; and must be well organized and confident to work independently. • Analyzing information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Minimum Experience and Training: • Completed 4-year degree in Business • PHR or SPHR certification preferred • 5-7 years of experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation and organizational design • Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel.
