We also offer PAID TIME OFF such as, Vacation, Sick Time, Holidays and Floating Holidays, all of which you start earning on your first day of employment!<br /><br />Performs various duties in the plant to include forklift operation, material handling and sorting, inspecting and/or cylinder maintenance work and also serves as Relief Driver and drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.<br /><br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br /><br /> Other duties may be assigned.<br /><br />� Moves cylinders to and from designated staging area; loads and unloads cylinders on or from vehicles via forklift per driver load sheets.<br />� Moves cylinders by hand with aid of material equipment and sorts by type and size.<br />� Fills out and attaches new labels, warnings and other identification tags or decals to cylinders.<br />� Examines exterior of cylinders for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.<br />� Changes cylinder valves with wrench, or adjusts them with torque wrench to prescribed tension. <br />� Delivers compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard-goods to other branch locations.<br />� Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.<br />� Picks up empty cylinders from branch locations and returns them to plant for refilling.<br />� Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other warehouse equipment in order to load and unload trucks.<br />� Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documents deficiencies and all equipment is in safe and good working order.<br /><br />QUALIFICATIONS<br /> <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<br /><br />� Has never been disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle according to the provisions of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, �391.15.<br />� Has no more than 1 accident in the last 3 years<br />� Has had no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.<br />� Must be 22 years of age <br /><br /><br />EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE<br />� Minimum of 1 year of driving experience with a Class A vehicle. <br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS <br /><br />� Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. <br />� Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. <br /><br />MATHEMATICAL SKILLS <br /><br />� Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10�s and 100�s.
