Description

The Field Materials Management Supervisor will be responsible for the overall execution of WCG's Materials Management practices and the performance of all WCG Field Materials Management facilities (warehouses, controlled offsite & support for the asset recovery locations) and Staff. This position is responsible for ensuring WCG's Material Management Strategy is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with all company policies and core values.
Responsibilities

Materials Management
* Manages organizational change aspects of migration to new model including: engaging & enrolling field Materials Management staff, recognizing and managing operations, maintenance, Ops Leaders and Supervisor's issues & concerns
* Review current WCG materials management philosophies/locations and practices to recommend and implement suitable changes to fit operational demands
* Work with Purchasing to produce material supply and delivery strategies
* Manage the closure of all outstanding assurance audit actions
* Responsible for the execution of WCG materials management processes and compliance
* Work with local Ops & Maintenance leadership to establish optimum strategies to supply specific parts and materials to all area operations
Workforce Management
* Lead staffing selections and recruiting effort for new facility model
* Manage the team to deliver the Materials Management service strategy
* Work with the CPC Materials Management Leadership Team to develop an organizational support model that ensures procurement's accountabilities for materials are clear and delivered while making full use of leverage opportunities
* Work with the CPC Procurement Leadership Team to manage training and career development for Field Materials Management staff
Inventory Optimization
* Develop and implement a full suite of suitable leading and trailing metrics to manage and continuously improve the WCG material management strategy
* Work with the CPC Materials Management and Operations to ensure effective and efficient investment recovery takes place
* Contract Management for any agreed supplier managed materials
Basic/Required Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years experience in Oil & Gas materials management
* Prior supervisory or financial line manager experience
* Working knowledge with SAP Materials Management
* Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in a related field of study
* Experience with and/or exposure to Western Canadian Conventional Oil and Gas Operations
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to champion change and work collaboratively with other supervisors to generate and implement optimal solutions
* Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage difficult change conversations
