Ethicon Endo Surgery is currently looking for a Senior Level Electrical Automation Engineer for their Albuquerque, NM facility.

Provide direction for design and installation of electrical controls and production equipment and processes on projects. Maintain engineering documentation associated with electrical systems. Resolve electrical engineering problems within the plant environment. Conducting project review meetings and providing all communications relating to assignments. Provide technical interface between plant engineering and external groups. Assist the department manager in the preparation of forecasts and schedules. Set standards for safe behavior. Recognize and reward safe behavior in others. Ensure that direct reports employ safe practices. Enforce safety policies and procedures. Evaluate staff member’s safety performance and insure that safety is a part of each direct report’s GPMS. Report to Engineering Manager. Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned. Environmental – Participate in EMS management structure toward implementation & maintenance of EMS including continual improvement; pollution prevention; objectives and targets; and regulatory compliance. Participate and support the ISO 14001 Certification and Regulatory Audit process. Implement and follow all applicable EMS procedures. Adhere to the site’s EHS Code of Conduct.Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or electronic engineering or relevant technical discipline, with a minimum of 5 years experience working in industry is required. It is required to have digital and analog control theory, microprocessor programming , circuit theory, closed loop theory, and control systems experience in this position. Analytical and statistical measurement systems and problem solving techniques is preferred. The ability to supervise electricians, technicians and electrical contractor activities on the site is preferred. Proficiency in word processing and documentation systems is required. basic graphics, computer aided drawing skills are assets. Project management skills are required., data management is required. PLC (software and programming), and statistical analyses preferred. Experience with Automation and/or vision systems is required. Experience with medical device Validation ( i.e. Software, IQOQPQ) is an asset. Six Sigma experience is an asset, certification is preferred. Experience and demonstrated abilities in the area of process instrumentation is preferred.
