Find entries with several words you are interested in

Enter all of your words

Sales manager – Will deliver results that contain the word sales and manager anywhere in the description.

Find entries with ANY of the words

Using any of these operators will return results with either sales, inside, OR manager in the text.

  • Sales, inside, manager

  • Sales | inside | manager

  • Sales OR inside OR manager

Find entries that contain ALL of the words

  • AND

  • & ampersand

Search will only return results that have all words in the description or title.

  • Sales AND manager

  • Sales & manager

Find entries that contain phrases exactly as you type them

Place " " quotation marks around the word or phrase

"sales manager" will only return results that contain the phrase in that order

Find entries that contain one word (or more) AND NOT another

Place AND NOT between select words

Sales AND NOT manager will return results with only the word sales, and exclude any results that contain the word manager.

Separate keyword subsets to refine search

Place ( ) around desired keyword subsets

(sales OR manager) AND NOT online – will return results that contain the words in parentheses, and also exclude any with the mention of online.

Find words with a common prefix

Place * after the root word

Entering psych* will return any entries that contain words like psyche, psychology, psychiatry, etc. – e.g., results that contain a variation of the root word.

NOTE: Common words are generally ignored unless used in a specific search phrase.
Some examples: about, after, all, also, an, and, another, any, are, as, at, be, because, been, before, being, between, both, but, by, came, can, come, could, did, do, each, for from, get, got, has, had, he, have, her, here, him, himself, his, how, if, in, into, is, like, make, many, me, might, more, most, much, must, my, never, now, of, on, only, or, other, out, out, over, said, same, see, should, since, some, still, such, take, than, that, the, their, them, then, there, these, they, this, those, through, to, too, under, up, very, was, way, we, well, were, what, where, which, while, who, with, would, you, your, the letters a-z – individually (excluding the letter "c," as it is usable for programming language searches), 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, $.
