Despite rampant economic uncertainty, the prospects of finding a job will improve at a steady if unspectacular pace during the first three months of next year, both nationally and in Wisconsin, a new survey says.

Initial unemployment claims fell 19,000 to a seasonally adjusted 366,000 for the week ending Dec. 10, the U.S. Labor Department said Thursday.
The state's jobless rate for November was 9.8 percent, down from 10.6 percent in October, according to data released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
