Obama to Discuss U.S. Education System

MADISON, Wis. (UPI) -- Education is in the limelight Wednesday as President Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan visit America's heartland to discuss learning opportunities.
Obama was to deliver remarks on strengthening the U.S. education system at a middle school in Madison, Wis., the White House said.
Before departing Washington, Obama was to participate in a closed-door credentialing ceremony in the Oval Office for foreign ambassadors, the daily calendar indicates.
In the evening, Obama and first lady Michelle Obama host an event celebrating classical music. Performers include violinist Joshua Bell, guitarist Sharon Isbin, cellist Alisa Weilerstein and pianist Awadagin Pratt.
